About This Event

The world's largest leather and kink street fair, drawing 250,000+ attendees to San Francisco's SoMa district. Folsom is the anchor event for leather/fetish culture globally — an outdoor fair with vendors, stages, play areas, and an unapologetically sex-positive atmosphere.

The week leading up to the fair (Sept 24–27) features dozens of satellite parties, bar crawls, and club nights across SoMa, the Castro, and beyond. Folsom weekend is the single biggest gathering of the global leather community — visitors come from Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The fair itself runs along Folsom Street in SoMa from 8th to 13th Streets, open to all 18+ with a leather/kink dress code strongly encouraged.

Leather Nightlife & Venues

SoMa is ground zero for Folsom weekend. Eagle SF, Powerhouse, EndUp, and Oasis host satellite parties all week. The Castro's bars — Twin Peaks, Beaux, Moby Dick — stay open late and overflow with Folsom visitors. The Stud and other SoMa venues run leather-specific nights through the full week.

Getting There

Fly into SFO (San Francisco International) or OAK (Oakland International). BART connects both airports to downtown SF — Civic Center/UN Plaza station puts you 10 minutes walk from SoMa. The 16th St Mission BART station serves the Castro. No need to rent a car; SoMa is walkable during fair week.

Where to Stay

Gay guesthouses and leather-friendly hotels near SoMa and the Castro are the go-to. Beck's Motor Lodge (Upper Market, gay-owned, clothing-optional pool), Parker Guest House (Castro, LGBTQ+ boutique hotel), Willows Inn (Castro, gay-friendly B&B), and The Inn on Castro (Castro, gay-owned Victorian) are Folsom staples. For SoMa adjacency, Hotel Via and InterContinental are walkable to the fair grounds.
