Julius' Bar

entertainment New York City, New York New York City, New York 🤍 Save

The oldest gay bar in New York City, operating since 1864 — over 160 years of queer history in the West Village. Julius' was the site of a landmark 1966 "sip-in" protest where gay activists defied laws prohibiting bars from serving homosexuals. A humble, beloved institution serving cold beers and living history on West 10th Street.
