XLSIOR Mykonos is one of the Mediterranean's most iconic LGBTQ+ events, held annually in late August on the world-famous island of Mykonos. The island's legendary LGBTQ+ acceptance has made it a gay destination since the 1970s. XLSIOR week features daily beach parties at Super Paradise Beach, pool events at major hotel venues, sunset cocktails at iconic spots, and mega club nights.
Gay Nightlife & Venues
Mykonos's gay nightlife is legendary. Jackie's (formerly Discotheque 88) in Mykonos Town is the epicenter — a massive open-air club carved into the rock above Little Venice. Cavo Paradiso, perched on a cliff above Chora, is one of the world's most spectacular club venues. Super Paradise Beach has beach bars and daily party programming.
Getting There
Mykonos Airport (JMK) — seasonal direct flights from major European cities; connecting flights via Athens are common from North America. From Athens: Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air operate multiple daily flights (45 minutes). Ferries from Athens/Piraeus to Mykonos take 2–5 hours depending on vessel.
Where to Stay
Book 3–4 months ahead — Mykonos during XLSIOR sells out fast. Mykonos Town (Chora) is the most convenient base for nightlife. Elia Beach has gay-friendly hotels closer to the beach party venues.
